VEHICLE INSURANCE

RESERVATIONS

INSURANCE OPTIONS – VERACRUZ

All insurances are valid as long as the terms and conditions of the rental agreement are met.
   
THIRD PARTY LIABILITY

Standard third party liability, included free of charge to customer.
Customers are covered up to MXN$500,000 per accident.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI)

Personal accident insurance (PAI) coverage, covers ambulance service, doctors, hospitalization and nurses for each passenger in the vehicle, up to the maximum number legally allowed in that vehicle.

• Option 1      Personal accident insurance (PAI)     US$10.00 per day
  Coverage of MXN$25,000 per person in vehicle.
  Mandatory if PDW is declined.

• Option 2      Decline PAI
  If PAI is declined, customer is responsible for 100% of personal injuries and related expenses.

PARTIAL LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER (PDW)

• Option 1     Partial Loss Damage Waiver (PDW)     US$19.00 per day (US$29.00 for Full size van)
  
  If purchased, the customer is responsible for up to the following for damages to, total loss of, or theft of vehicle, including missing parts or accessories.
  

• Economy car                   US$1000

• Compact car                    US$1200

• Intermediate car               US$1500

• Standard car                    US$1700

• Full size car                     US$1900

• Premium car                    US$2200

• Minivan                            US$3000

• Full size van                     US$3600

The amount of the deductible will be held against the guaranteed credit card as a deposit at the beginning of the rental.

• Option 2     Decline Waivers                         US$10.00 per day PAI is mandatory
  
  If PDW is declined, the customer is responsible for the following:
  

• Full commercial value of vehicle if stolen

• Full value of any accessories, if stolen

• Full value of repairs plus rental charge during repairs if damaged

If PDW is declined, the amount of the deductible (as described in Option 1) will be held against the guaranteed credit card as a deposit at the beginning of the rental.

If PDW is declined, PAI of US$10.00 per day is mandatory.

If the customer’s credit card company states that they cover PDW, then the customer must file a claim with their credit card company to recover the accident costs charged to their credit card.
